The birth of the Cooperative Society ACOREX took place on December 30th, 1985, due to the need for joint action by a group of farmers, characterized by the necessary daily struggle to obtain a standardized agricultural production in order to obtain a production, marketing and product development by optimizing the output, adapting it in a more satisfying way to the market needs.
The concentration of sales quotes and the demand for acquisition of production factors to increase the income of the farmer partner, along with diversification, the catchment of added value and integration, have made of Acorex a large Agro-social company.
In 1985, five cooperatives (San Isidro from Miajadas, San Juan from Madrigalejo, San Agustín from Obando, La Extremeña from Montijo and Aldea del Conde from Talavera la Real) built ACOREX that, over these 25 years, have become a social and agro-industrial reality, composed by 42 cooperatives, 8,000 farmers and 1,000 workers, which place it as the 1st Agro-industrial company from Extremadura, the 5th Agricultural Cooperative and the 13th Social Enterprise in Spain.
